CONSCIOUSLY SEEK GOD’S WILL…

Today’s chapter is Psalm 38

Parents and grandparents teach their children and grandchildren many things – from how they dress, pack their school bags and behave with others, to their relationship with the living God.

We are blessed to have a powerful and loving heavenly Father who is also willing to teach us his ways. He wants to reveal himself to each of us, in the situations that confront us. Whether we are experiencing good days or darkness seems to descend around us.

Regardless of our state of mind, he loves us and wants to help us.
The question is whether we will accept the guidance he says and reveals in his word and live the Word.

I WILL GUIDE YOU
AND SHOW YOU THE WAY YOU SHOULD GO, SAYS THE LORD. I WILL ADVISE AND GUARD YOU.
DO NOT BE DEFENDANT LIKE A DONKEY THAT MUST BE DRIVEN WITH A BIT IN ITS MOUTH. Psalm 32:8

The first step is that we repent of sin and self-will in our lives. We listen to God and the Word’s guidance in our lives and say no to injustice and let ourselves be transformed.
Only after we have repented can we seek God’s will for our lives.

The next step is of course that we read God’s Word and make God’s Word right in our lives.

GOD’S WORD IS LIKE A LIGHT THAT SHINES ON THE PATH BEFORE ME Psalm 119:105.

God has given His Holy Spirit as a helper – A wonderful gift from God to each of His children. The Holy Spirit shows us the truth and leads us to understand God when we read the Bible and when we pray.

We must listen and act attentively to His voice, within us, when we open the scriptures.

GOD WANTS TO SPEAK TO US!
When we seek God’s will, we may sometimes experience a little waiting.
It is in the waiting that God builds our character and strengthens our faith. Just as children develop, so God wants us to develop throughout our lives.
SEEK HIM IN THE SCRIPTURES AND IN PRAYER,

and He will reveal to you His good and pleasing will in your situation!

I HAVE WRITTEN THIS TO YOU WHO BELIEVE IN THE NAME OF THE SON OF GOD, SO THAT YOU MAY KNOW THAT YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. WE HAVE THE CONFIDENCE THAT HE HEARES US WHEN WE ASK HIM FOR ANYTHING THAT IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH HIS WILL. 1 John 5:13-14
