REMAIN IN HIM AND YOU WILL GROW…

Read the context the verse refers to

today’s chapter is John 15

John 15:1-5
It is important for us to always remember that we bear fruit because we are part of the vine!
In ourselves we cannot bear lasting fruit – but grafted onto the true vine, we bear fruit! We may even wonder, what fruits should I bear, and how do I produce fruit in my life?

IT IS HE WHO
BRINGS FRUIT
IN OUR LIVES.

The Holy Spirit’s job is to live out the life of Christ through everyone who believes. We can call it living a Spirit-filled life, a transformed life, a life in Christ, and many other names. They all describe something new, something joyful;

“IT IS NO LONGER I WHO LIVE,
BUT CHRIST LIVES IN ME, AND THE LIFE
I NOW LIVE AS A HUMAN,
I LIVE BY FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD,
WHO LOVED ME AND
GAVE HIMSELF FOR ME.”
Galatians 2:20

From the outside, the branch does not seem to do anything. However, it is not true that we can then live as passive Christians. Jesus is the perfect picture of living a totally surrendered life, drawing wisdom, power, insight, and much more from the Father. He did a work, and we are also called to serve Him.

WHAT I SAY DOES NOT COME FROM MYSELF,
BUT FROM
THE FATHER WHO LIVES IN ME.
IT IS ALSO HE WHO
DOES HIS WORKS
THROUGH ME. John 14:10.

Everything Jesus did, he received from the Father!
The fruits of the Spirit do not come from busyness or planning.
The fruits of the Spirit grow in us through complete surrender to Him. We meditate on the WORD, PRAY and we SERVE GOD in different contexts. We can do nothing in our own strength, but only by being part of the vine, God can use us in different ways in our lives.

REmain in me, and I will live in you.
A BRANCH CANNOT BEAR FRUIT UNLESS IT
DRAWS ITS POWER FROM THE TREE..
God does not call us to a passive life – but to an active life in service to Him.
BY THIS MY FATHER IS
GLORIFIED THAT YOU BEAR
MUCH FRUIT AND BE
MY DISCIPLES. John 15:8

Serve Him with joy - all your life.

I AM THE VINE,
YOU ARE THE BRANCHES.
HE THAT RESIDES IN ME
AND I IN HIM, THEN BEAR MUCH FRUIT,
FOR WITHOUT ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING. John.
