37 Keep the word of the Lord.

Keep the word of the Lord.

I hide your word in my heart, so that I may not sin against you. Psalm 119:11. Guard by the Holy Spirit who lives in us the good treasure that has been entrusted to us. 2 Timothy 1:14. Behind the two verses from the Bible, there are, as far as we can know and imagine, two young people. In the first verse it is about someone who speaks out, bears witness. In the second verse there is someone who is spoken to and admonished. The first verse is a young person who wrote Psalm 119. Who has made many think of the rich son. The son who owned everything. Had a good time in his father's house. But in rebellion and defiance he turned his back on his father's house. Wanted to go out into the world and enjoy its pleasures and glory.

The second, in verse two is. Paul's young friend and co-worker, Timothy. However, the case is the same for both of them. It is about. Not losing something valuable. The hiding place for this valuable also seems to be in both cases in their hearts. The precious treasure, the Word and faith in God is revealed in the hearts of these two young people. By the Holy Spirit. John 14. They both lived in line with God's will and word. They hid the Word in their hearts, like a precious treasure. None of us invented God's Word, the Bible. None of us created our hearts and minds.

God wants us to meet Him in our hearts. From the heart, the heart of God, He speaks to our hearts. God wants to be in contact with us. Those people who have once experienced this encounter with the living God know that this is a matter of reality. A reality they are willing to die for. Nothing can be allowed to take this treasure away from them. They are convinced, by faith, that this treasure in the heart will never disappear again. We must take care of the living connection between our hearts and the living God. Take care and nurture it so that we do not lose this treasure.

We cannot do this by holding on to it tightly. We do well to keep our hearts' doors wide open. Have an open mind. For the Word of God. So that we let it penetrate deeply and make its effect fully. It is only what our heart is filled with that the mouth can overflow with. We must daily allow God to fill our hearts/minds. So that we can praise, glorify and honor Him in everything.

What your heart is filled with, your mouth will overflow with. Is your heart filled with prayer, thanksgiving and praise?

You who created my heart. The deep and wonderful. Shape it after yours after your heart. God. Your will be done. You can do all things. As little as I understand of you. However, the door of Your heart stands open to all in Your Son Jesus Christ, I know for sure. By the wounds of Your Son I have full salvation, Nothing this from me, in the heart can take. Soon You send Your Son with reward, Back, to take us as in the heart, The treasure of faith has preserved. In time let us be cleansed in the blood, Which You in love sent down here, By the painful death of Jesus. This all meant for us. Eternal life You commanded us. You never regretted this. Never let our hearts lose your glow. You Lord teach me everything. So that I can carry you in my heart completely. You Lord, teach me everything that You have told. You yourself hide it in the heart. No one you forget. If we in faith in Your Son Jesus Christ, will pray to. Since You yourself in the heart, will fulfill everything. Lord. I will praise you. Thank you. You will also fill my heart.

Amen.
